IP Cameras

Internet protocol (IP) Cameras are quickly growing as the dominant technology in surveillance and security video monitoring devices. Unlike CCTV cameras, which generally broadcast an analog signal, IP cameras are able to send a digital signal through a computer network as well as store digital data directly on the device itself on solid-state memory. Many IP cameras also allow for two-way communication, so that the device itself can be used to communicate with users on the camera-end.

Advantages over Closed Circuit TV

IP Cameras have higher image resolution than analog counterparts, and are also easier and cheaper to install. Whether the user chooses to use the wireless features offered on many cameras, or use an Ethernet cable, the installation  is still easier and cheaper than installing a CCTV camera system. Also, IP cameras can be linked to remote devices such as the iPhone and other smart phones for security monitoring on the go.
